Birmingham Museums Trust is a registered Charity (no. 1147014) and relies upon donations to run many of its exciting learning and engagement programmes, as well as continuing to provide excellent exhibitions and displays across its nine sites.

Your Donation

Here is a small glimpse of what your donation could go towards:

  • £10 – a set of printed resources for teacher use in self-guided school visit, ensuring an informed connection to our objects and collections.
  • £25 – an hour of specialist conservation on many of the thousands of historically-important objects in the collections, preserving them for future generations.
  • £50 – materials for a holiday-time children’s craft session, helping young children connect with collections.
  • £75 – an evening of Café Scientifique, a monthly evening activity for adults to engage with contemporary science through a programme of expert talks.
  • £100 – a Curator-led guided tour of a gallery for school groups, explaining the significance of many of our iconic paintings and artfacts.
  • £250 – The creation of specialist, curriculum-appropriate workshops around particular collections and sites.
  • £500 – professional training for a Curator to ensure that they are completely up-to-date in best practice and curatorial skills. 
  • £1,000 – equipment for one of our four science classrooms, allowing school groups to get hands-on while learning about 
  • £2,500 – a free Heritage Site Open Day, particularly targeting local people and those that do not usually visit our museums.

How to Donate

If you would like to make either a one-off donation or a regular monthly gift, please visit www.justgiving.com/BirminghamMuseums . If you pay income or capital gains tax and would like to Gift Aid your donation, Birmingham Museums Trust can claim 25% of your donation from HMRC, meaning that every £1 you donate is worth £1.25.
